More Plants From The Niche...............

Here are a few more plants & photos from The Niche:-

Vriesea ospinae var. gruberi brought in by a friend for repotting, broken into three new plants by experienced hands. One of my favourite bromeliads.

Massed plants of Chinese Dwarf Bamboo in 300mm pots. I will be breaking these up in the next few weeks & potting into 270mm squats. A newer screening variety growing to 3 or 4M,
ideal for suburban use. This plant is cold tolerant, resulting in a long growing season with rapid results. Clumping habit.

Kentia palms in 250mm pots, selling for $25 each. Slow growing versatile plants that will take a wide range of conditions, from indoor shade to coastal sun.

The famed Dragon Tree (Dracaena draco), native to the Canary Islands. Makes a superb pot plant or small feature tree; drought & salt tolerant, fast growing.
Available in 270mm pots for $30.

This is the parent plant, 10 years from the size pictured above.

Salvias.
The nursery carries a good range of Salvia varieties. Pictured are Salvia 'Tequila', red with black calyxes; flowers taste like orange liqueur when sucked, excellent for desserts.
Salvia 'Joan', crimson flowers from autumn to spring.
Salvia 'Anthony Parker', purple-blue flowers produced in profusion, often used in massed displays for maximum impact.
Available in 150mm pots for $8.
200mm pots for $12.

                                                             Butia Palm.
Slow growing feature palm with silver-blue foliage; grow in a pot & plant out when larger. Plants such as these make good long-term investments for retirement. Seedlings in 150mm pots available for $7. Plant some today!
